There are 5 campgrounds in Agnes Water and Town of 1770. You can also camp in Eurimbula National Park and Deepwater National Park (permit required), on Middle Island (accessed by plane) and Lady Musgrave Island (accessed by boat).

Camping at Lady Musgrave Island

Camping with a permit is allowed on Lady Musgrave Island. If a day cruise to Lady Musgrave Island has tempted you to return for a longer visit then you may consider camping on the island. Whether a family getaway or a diving holiday, Lady Musgrave is enjoyed by all who would like to experience camping on a true coral cay. The Reef Caravan Park

Native animals are a frequent sight with plenty of kangaroos. Situated in a peaceful bushland setting only minutes away from shopping and pristine beaches. Large powered van & camping sites,  Short drive to the shops and Agnes Water beach, there is never a shortage of things to do and see. Discovery Coast Caravan & Camping Park has a pool right next to the camp kitchen complete with gas BBQ, table and chairs and a sink. The amenities block is modern with ladies and gents toilets and showers, and contains the laundry with coin operated washing machines, dryer and iron. The caravan park also boasts excellent drinking water.

Right on the patrolled Agnes Water main beach and in the heart of town, just a short walk to shops and cafés. Accommodation, caravan and camp-sites amenities include laundry and camp kitchen with free barbecues. Accommodation spans camping and caravan sitesright through to luxury Safari Tents. The park is set on 6 acres of absolute beach frontage. Relax among palm trees, casuarinas and pandanus trees fringing this Queensland’s northernmost surf beach. Watch the sunrise over the ocean.

Workman’s Beach Camping

You cannot book spaces at this campground.

Just rock up and fingers crossed there’s room! $7 per person a night. Located on Springs Road, Agnes Water. Basic bush camping. No caravans allowed. Popular with backpackers. Workman’s Beach has a camping area with a 200m track to the beach. BBQ facilities, drop toilet, cold shower and taps.
